Activity: Talk or presentation typesInvited talk

Description

The concept of ‘Learning for Sustainability’ is unique to the Scottish Educational context. It is
a curricular area that is multifaceted, interdisciplinary and considered the responsibility of all
practitioners. This element of fluidity can pose opportunities and challenges to those working
in early years, primary and secondary settings, particularly in relation to supporting the health
and wellbeing of children and young people. In this webinar, Will will discuss the key elements
of ‘sustainability’ and the role it plays in informing national priorities. This provides a backdrop
to a discussion on the status of sustainability in Scottish schools and the opportunities and
challenges faced by practitioners when wading into the confluence where the streams of
sustainability and health & wellbeing meet.
