Title: Advanced Signal Processing and Data-Driven Techniques in Industrial Fault Diagnosis and Process MonitoringProf. Hao Ye, Tsinghua University, ChinaDate: Thursday, 14 April 2016 Time: 13:00-14:00Venue: Conference Room JW707, James Weir Building, 75 Montrose Street, Glasgow G1 1XJ AbstractThis presentation first gives an overview of the University, Department, and the latest work in Prof Ye’s research group on fault diagnosis and process monitoring. Then it introduces some of his research on applying signal processing and data-driven techniques/methods in industrial fault diagnosis and process monitoring to several important industrial applications, including the leak detection and localization of long distance pipelines, process monitoring of iron-making in a blast furnace, and fault diagnosis of track circuit for high-speed railways, etc.BiographyDr. Hao Ye is a full Professor, Director of the Institute of Process Control Engineering, and Director of Rail Transit Control Technology R&D Center, Research Institute of Information Technology, Tsinghua University (http://www.tsinghua.edu.cn/). He is also the general secretary of Fault Diagnosis Committee in the Chinese Association of Automation. His research interest lies in the field of fault diagnosis of dynamic systems. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed conference and journal papers, and received the 2nd Prize of National Natural Science Award of China in 2012.Selected Publications:[1] Hao Wu, Wei Wang, Hao Ye, Zidong Wang, State estimation for Markovian jump linear systems with bounded disturbances.
