Have you ever wondered how your professor or adviser got to this point in their career? Or what they struggled with on the way? 'Growing Up in Higher Education' is an informal event series where a successful academic talks about their career journey - including the highlights, challenges, and failures along the way. In our next session, you will hear from Prof Melanie Stefan, Professor of Neurophysiology at the Medical School Berlin, discussing their journey in higher education. Prof Stefan is an advocate of keeping a ‘CV of Failures’, proposing that a visible record of your rejections can help the research community to deal with the inevitable setbacks. This will be an excellent occasion to hear about their take on the ups and downs within an academic career with lots of opportunity to ask questions and discuss.
