Glasgow's Retrofit Advisory GroupAs part of Alejandro's engagement with the wider city-region agenda, he is a member of Glasgow's Retrofit Advisory Group, a cross-sectoral committee supporting the city’s ambitions to decarbonise its building stock.
In this role, Alejandro has contributed specialist knowledge in building performance and retrofit evaluation, and has delivered presentations to the committee on the integration of performance-based metrics into retrofit policy and planning. His work has helped shape the group's strategic priorities and promote evidence-led decision-making.
Alejandro has also played a key role in attracting external research funding aligned with Glasgow’s retrofit ambitions, including projects exploring innovative low-carbon technologies and user-centred retrofit approaches. His contributions reflect a commitment to bridging academic research with practice and policy, supporting Glasgow’s transition to a more sustainable and resilient built environment.
