An international symposium in celebration of 25 years of the Small Area Health Statistics Unit. The MRC-HPA Centre for Environment and Health are pleased to invite you to attend a two day International Symposium held in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Small Area Health Statistics Unit (SAHSU); established following a recommendation of the Black enquiry into the incidence of leukaemia in children and young adults near the Sellafield nuclear plant. The theme of this international symposium will be forward-looking, discussing new methods and technologies in disease cluster and pattern detection, spatial data analysis, data visualisation, measurement of exposures and health risks, communicating with the public and translating science into health policy. This meeting will be comprised of plenary sessions, state of the art lectures and poster presentations and will offer individuals the opportunity to work alongside and share knowledge with international experts.
