Description

Engage with Strathclyde is one of the University’s key programmes for outreach and engagement events. Historically, Engage with Strathclyde has run a programme of events with a focus on engagement with industry, the third and public sectors and government. In 2024, Engage with Strathclyde ran a series of events between 29 April and 10 May and included events with a focus on public and community engagement as well as some events out with the Engage fortnight.

Hosted by the Digital Dairy Chain (DDC), the Transforming the Dairy Supply Chain event showcased the support and funding available to anyone with an idea or solution to address a challenge faced by the dairy supply chain. A variety of ongoing projects were presented that have received Innovation Voucher funding on how they have developed new concepts with the support of the DDC team. The presenters discussed the new products, processes, and services these projects aimed to deliver. There was also the opportunity to find out about some of the larger research projects which the researchers from the University of Strathclyde have been working on with First Milk.

This particular invited talk presented on an ongoing DDC Innovation Voucher project, Filler Innovation Study (Fillnovation), with a focus on Enhancing Efficiency in Glass Bottle Filling.
