Activity: Membership types › Membership of committee
I have been a member of the Faculty’s Academic Committee (FAC) since the start of 2018. The FAC is the main committee responsible for quality assurance within the Faculty. It scrutinises regulation changes, new course proposals and course withdrawals before submission to the Board of Study. It also makes recommendations to the Board of Study on policy issues, for example, amendments to assessment procedures and progress regulations. Being a member of this Committee, I attend monthly meetings and provide feedback to the Committee when required. I represented my Department at the FAC since the start of 2018 until September 2020. Later, I have been appointed to the Faculty-level Academic Peer Reviewer role for Engineering. The new Faculty Peer Reviewer system has replaced the Academic Regulations Review Group in relation to regulation approval. Nominated peer reviewers will be required to review signification regulation amendments and all new programme regulations submitted by another Faculties. As an Academic Peer Reviewer for Engineering I am working closely with the Faculty’s Academic Team, Quality Assurance Committee and am attending all Faculty Academic Committee meetings.
