Activity: Public Engagement and OutreachPublic Events

Description

The purpose of this event was to share and discuss the results of the SIPA2 Study and seek feedback from delegates about future initiatives to continue to improve the support of the safe and effective use of medicines by older people with visual and or hearing impairment or loss. The event comprised poster presentations and an exhibition (see below) by Pansophy PhD students whose PhD research was informed by SIPA2. In addition, keynote presentations were delivered by team members and external speakers, including Dr Hazel McFarlane (Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland. Dr McFarlane is the Senior Sensory Hub Officer at the Scottish Sensory Hub and works to develop relationships across the Sight Loss sector and beyond), and were followed by small group discussions regarding the SIPA2 study.
