Co-started and ran (with artist Alice Tatton) a UK-wide online network of academics and activists December 2021-January 2023 interested in marking the 40th anniversary of Embrace the Base action at Greenham Common – we met every month to update on planned activities. From September 2022, I also ran a separate Scottish collective which organised three events, in which I had the following roles:o Organiser and chair of the webinar, ‘From Greenham to Faslane – and Beyond: the legacies of Greenham Common Women’s Peace Camp in Scotland’, 6 December 2022, working with Faslane Peace Camp, Glasgow Women’s Library and Greenham Women Everywhere. Speakers included Sheila MacKay and Margaret Bremner, Greenham women in Scotland; Yvonne Billimore, artist and curator and Iona Soper of Secure Scotland on encountering Greenham as younger women; Margaret Ferguson Burns introducing Greenham women for Life on Earth actions in Scotland for COP26 and the XR Peace/Trident Ploughshares FAAB Coulport action; Cath Kay and Maggie Sale, on different generations of Faslane campers; Isobel Lindsay and Lynn Jamison from SCND on the ways in which Greenham did or did not influence the wider Scottish peace movement; Joyce Nicholson and friend on the activities of the Gareloch Horticulturalists affinity group.
o supported and participated in sister banner-making and memory-drop workshop organised by Greenham Women Everywhere at Glasgow Women’s Library
o supported and participated in solidarity visit to Faslane Peace Camp.
