The SAFEMODE project aims to develop a novel Human Risk Informed Design (HURID) framework in order to identify, collect and assess Human Factors data. In this presentation SAFEMODE’s partners introduce HURID framework - how it works, how it is validated, and its core elements.

The presentation also explores the Just Culture framework which aims to facilitate better reporting and learning from safety events, and discusses the lessons learned from the aviation sector that could benefit maritime.
