Activity: Public Engagement and Outreach › Public Events
Description
Four interactive table-top activities will explore design challenges that heritage professionals face when creating chatbots, such as: the information conveyed, how it's shared and from whose perspective(s). (1) The main activity invites visitors to act as a ‘Glasgow heritage bot’ through an analogue game: An image of a heritage object is shown, and participants choose one card from two decks - one with a question about the object, another with a chatbot rule. Visitors are then prompted to ‘answer as a heritage bot!’ (2) Visitors can also draw/color a chatbot, while (3) adults can generate chatbot questions for ongoing research, and (4) visitors can try out a digital heritage chatbot.
