Contemporary Childhood Conference Scotland’s Children: Possible Futures?

Activity: Participating in or organising an event typesOrganiser of major conference

Description

On the 18th September 2014 Scotland went to the polls to determine whether or not it would become an independent nation. Whatever the outcome, there would be implications for Scotland’s children. Interestingly, too, many children had a real voice in the referendum since sixteen and seventeen year olds were enfranchised. It is in this context that I hosted the Children in Scotland: Possible Futures? conference at the University. The conference was international and multi-disciplinary.
