Commission (£15,000) of Narrative Training Films for Interpreters and Healthcare Practitioners (Co-Writer, Production Manager, Rehearsal Facilitator)

Filmmaker Simon Bishopp (http://showmanmedia.co.uk) and I were commissioned to create five educational films as CPD tools for interpreters and health care practitioners, based on research carried out by researchers on the University of Glasgow's 'Ethical Translation in Healthcare Settings' research project (PI: Alison Phipps). I acted as producer and rehearsal faciliator on the film production, working with 20 multilingual community volunteers who wanted to participate as actors. I lead the audititions, acting rehearsals, co-wrote the scripts with the filmmaker and organised filming locations and filming schedules. The research project has dessimenated the films to a wide range of agencies and organisations, where they are now used as training resources.
