Description

High profile, India based murder and sexual offence. Project39A have reviewed the case and believe that forensic evidence was incorrectly used. Assistance needed with the forensic evidence to build an appeal case against the conviction by evaluating the use of evidence at the original trial and standards of practice across India at the State and Central Laboratories.

After extensive discussion and communication regarding admissibility of our evidence in an Indian court, it is my opinion that the best approach is for Project 39A to write a report, which I will independently peer review and countersign.

The contentious issues in the case are the interpretation of the forensic DNA evidence and the attribution of DNA to semen staining. In my opinion the DNA evidence is erroneous and based on the information provided the attribution was overstated at the original trial.
