BIO- ROBOTICS: From Nature to Reality WORKSHOP

Activity: Presenting or Organising an EventConference, workshop, seminar or course

Description

BioRobotics (bio-inspired robotic design and operation) is an emerging subfield that applies principles from nature to the development and control of robotic systems. Researchers draw inspiration from biological sensing, actuation, and materials, with examples including gecko-inspired adhesion for assembly and ant-inspired cooperation for multi-robot transport. Despite its promise, bio-inspired design lacks a standardized methodology for translating biological concepts into engineering solutions, especially for complex tasks. This in-person workshop aims to bring together researchers to explore the opportunities, challenges, and future directions of bio-inspired robotic design and operation.
