This course has been developed to support Orthotists working in the modern National Health Service (NHS). The NHS is streamlining services and trying to reduce the strain on Orthopaedics. Allied Healthcare Professionals (AHP’s) are increasingly being relied upon to diagnose and treat Musculoskeletal conditions.
Evidence-based treatment protocols were developed for Orthotists as part of a national MSK workstream in Scotland and published in Apr 2015. This course has been created to support Orthotists treating MSK conditions in clinical practice.

Over this 4-year period, the course expanded and changed with the evidence, such that the content delivered between 2015-2016, was significantly different to that which was delivered between 2017-2018.
