Description
The legacy of educational knowledge presents the typical biases of a patriarchal structure. Feminist trends, inside and outside academia, have pointed out how knowledge supports multiple structures of oppression beyond the axis of gender. It is necessary to incorporate voices and views from the margins that subvert pedagogical knowledge and practice. This questioning results in the commitment to a transgressive and anti-normative pedagogy that problematizes knowledge and educational practices from an intersectional perspective. The conference aims to establish a space for joint reflection on the construction and limits of educational knowledge, educated bodies, the curriculum and educational policies from their configuration at the State, regional and local levels to their translation into teaching practices.
So as to achieve a dialogue that covers all approaches, the conference is oriented toward researchers, teachers, representatives of the public administration and all other agents of the educational community. Taking strong action against sexist biases and other forms of discrimination in the education and training of future educators (teachers, pedagogues, social educators) is necessary.
